I had the screen on my iMac replaced this past winter for some image burn-in, and they wound up giving me one with dead pixels. A couple little purple dots. So since school is over I took it back to the store today to get them to fix it, and they try telling me that dead pixels are "within manufacturer's specifications" and my very-expensive AppleCare warranty wouldn't cover that unless it was more than eight dead pixels within a certain space.

But, I guess I was firm enough to where the tech guy got a free " one-time courtesy repair" authorized so they're going to replace the screen again for free. I'm not sure what I'll do if there's dead pixels in the new screen though, I think it's bullshit that you can sell a product with obvious defects like that to a customer and not expect them to come back in your face with it demanding a replacement. o_o I know LG makes the screen I have and not Apple, so I will never buy an LG display of any kind.

Of course since it's not a regular warranty repair it could take twice as long until I have it back, around 14 days. So I have my crappy PC laptop in the meantime. There will be hell to pay if the new screen is not perfect, I didn't pay all that money for my screen to be defective like that. I expect better from Apple, and if they want to keep cultivating their good image they'd better make this right. >_>

Alright make your ultimate set list

now this is kinda a game at that

You have a 1 gig iPod ( thats all i am giving you so suck it up)

Based on the popularity of the artist, and or the song will give u a certain amount of space

for example

A currently well liked artist like the Foo Fighters counts as a instant 3mb then based on the popularity of that song from that artist it gives you another certain amount

For example you already have 3 mb penalty for Foo Fighters now add in a song that is constantly played by them on the radio its 5 mb for example Pretender is your song by them it will take up a over all of 8 mb

now then there is still a easy way to get out of the penalty of a single popular song and thats if you apply they entire album to your iPod instead of just that select song ( granted it still takes up space, but at the same time its still a lot

so say you wanted the put the entire Foo Fighters Album on your iPod you would still slap on the 3 mb for it being Foo Fighters but at the same time the entire album would only take up a total of 40 mb ( maybe less I am still working out a better classification on full albums then what i have right now ) so add your 3 mb to it and its only 43 mb

now then there are specific rules to time peroids and lengths of albums

Anything in the 2000's is a instant 3 mb penalty, 90's is 2 mb penalty, and 80's and back are only a 1 mb. Now you can still get socked with popularity of song for example Black Sabbath, Paranoid, is 1 mb band penalty but song popularity is still slapping you with a 5 mb penalty

now then when ever you want post your list that you think is exaclty 1 gig or lower closest person to a gig wins something I haven't decided yet

( I will post a sample here shortly getting mine together )

CNN Wrote: JERSEY CITY, New Jersey (AP) -- Hiding a ring in a bouquet just wasn't enough when a computer programmer decided to pop the question.

Bernie Peng reprogrammed Tammy Li's favorite video game, "Bejeweled," so a ring and a marriage proposal would show up on the screen when she reached a certain score.

Li reached the needed score -- and said yes.

Word of the romantic feat in December filtered out after Peng, a financial software programmer, posted details on his blog. The reprogramming was a tricky task and took him a month.

"I thought it was pretty cool, in a nerdy way," Peng told The Star-Ledger of Newark.

The couple plan to marry over Labor Day weekend, and PopCap, the Seattle company that makes "Bejeweled," will fly the couple to Seattle as part of their honeymoon.

"Most video game companies would frown on people manipulating their games," said Garth Chouteau, a spokesman for PopCap.

"But it won him a woman. As a bunch of geeks, we have to say, 'Bernie, hats off to you.' "

The company is also supplying copies of "Bejeweled" to hand out as favors to the wedding guests. In the hugely popular game, players score points by swapping gems to form vertical and horizontal chains.
